What is the Community Safe Accreditation Scheme?

CSAS allows organisations and their employees to be given a variety of police powers to deal with issues such as anti-social behaviour, disorder and traffic management. The scheme has been in place since 2008 when it was established by the Metropolitan Police Service, and studies have shown that reported crime and calls to police regarding anti-social behaviour were significantly lower in areas where CSAS was in place.
