The Isle of Wight Festival 2016 – 9th – 12th June

The award winning Isle of Wight Festival is held every year in June and is steeped in history – it is recognised around the world for its amazing line-up, mixing legendary artists with the hottest up and coming acts. The 2016 festival, certainly lived up to its name at the weekend showcasing some of the biggest music acts around. Bands taking to the stage were The Who, Iggy Pop, Sterophonics, Queen and many more

This is the UK’s first major music event of the summer and for some, officially kicks off the festival season. The client Solo Promoters were very happy and described the event as the best Isle of Wight Festival to date.

With a big turnout of over 58,000 excited festival goers, the SES Group deployed 540 staff for the event with the site layout changing for front of house and back of house. The teams worked well together and good communication between individual members and groups were essential.

Thankfully the number of crimes and incidents reported were down from previous years.
